Politics, Passion and Peril: Life at the Tudor Court

Dr. Lisa Ford, an historian of Tudor politics, administration and the court, will discuss the historical context behind the Mantel books and the BBC series. Her talk will cover topics including the tensions in bringing an historical figure to the screen and the page, the reasons for Henry VIII’s persistent quest for a bride, the nature of life at the Tudor court, and how to keep your head in the 16th century.

Join us for an inside look at the Tudor Court on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30pm.
